The Rye Park Wind Farm is a major renewable energy development in New South Wales requiring new transmission infrastructure to connect generation into the National Electricity Market (NEM).
Once operational, the wind farm will comprise 66 turbines with a maximum generation capacity of 396MW.
The project is expected to generate enough renewable energy to power approximately 215,000 homes while reducing carbon emissions by almost 1 million tonnes annually.
Genus is delivering the project’s 330kV transmission line infrastructure in partnership with Zenviron.
The works support connection of the wind farm into the National Electricity Market and demonstrate Genus’ capability in delivering renewable energy transmission infrastructure.
Tilt Renewables forms part of Powering Australian Renewables (PowAR), one of Australia’s largest owners and developers of renewable generation and storage assets.
