SHEQ

At Genus, safety isn’t a policy. It’s a promise.

With more than 3,000 people working across high-risk environments, we take a no-compromise approach to safety, health, environment and quality.

Our Safety Non-Negotiables set clear expectations for managing critical risks. They’re embedded in site inductions, toolboxes and incident reviews, keeping our teams focused on what matters most: everyone going home safe.

Across the business we operate an integrated SHEQ management system and maintain triple ISO certification (ISO 45001, ISO 14001 and ISO 9001), ensuring consistent standards on every project.

We’re also strengthening our sustainability focus, developing a Climate Transition Strategy and greenhouse gas emissions framework to support Australia’s move toward a lower-carbon future.

Our commitment to safety and wellbeing has been recognised with the WHS Foundation Injury Management Award, reflecting the dedication of our teams on the ground.

Community

At Genus, being part of a project means being part of a place. We take pride in supporting the communities where we live and work; not just by delivering critical infrastructure, but by contributing to local progress, wellbeing, and connection.

Through direct sponsorships, donations, and grassroots partnerships, we back organisations that make a real impact, whether it’s a community centre in regional WA or a cultural learning initiative on Country in NSW. Our focus is on practical support that reflects our values and delivers value in return.

We also encourage our team to get involved; showing up, volunteering, and supporting causes that matter to them. This commitment to community goes beyond compliance or corporate social responsibility. It’s about acting with purpose, respecting where we work, and helping create stronger, more resilient communities for the future.
